Hello everyone!
This week has been so amazing!
- We have been doing a lot of
finding in this area and working really hard, and we are starting to see a lot
of results! We have quite a few return appts for this upcoming week and I can’t
wait to see how they all go! We have also started to get quite a few referrals.
we are going to turn this area around!
- We had a missionary event on
Tuesday and it was so fun! We took the young women out with us to contact some
less active young women and it was so cool to be able to be with the young
women and let them experience missionary work
- My birthday was on Wednesday! It was seriously the best birthday ever! We had a jail birthday breakfast with chocolate cake and sprinkles, then we went to district meeting and had a chocolate birthday cake with sprinkles, and then we got boba and Chinese food and had 3 appointments that day. That was the greatest birthday gift of all! I loved being able to do God's work on my birthday, it made it such a happy birthday!
- We had the ward fall festival and
we judged the Chili there... that was very interesting as none of us really
like chili.. haha
- We had pizza for dinner on Saturday (we never get pizza! it was the best day)
- I also took this really cool tour on Saturday. It was a
lady whose is having a lot of family problems and she came into the jail
looking for peace and the spirit was there so strong as we were going through!
I love taking so many different tours a day because you can feel the difference
of people that come in, and she was definitely spiritually prepared to have a
great learning experience
So, I have been thinking a lot this week about how God is so
aware of each and every one of us. In the jail we will often go an hour without
anyone coming in, and then all of a sudden like 3-4 families will show up within
10 minutes of each other. we were talking about this as jail sisters and we
feel that it really shows that God knows that these people needed to learn from
each other and experience this together. I love that because it is something so
small and simple, yet it definitely has God's hand in it. I just want to invite
all of you to take a moment at the end of each day and notice God's hand in
