Hello everyone! I hope that your week has been great!
So this week President Vest (the mission president) came into the visitors’ center and asked me to give him a tour... so that was terrifying. He was pretending to be a non-member. My comp and I didn’t do too well but he gave us a lot of good pointers. And that ended up being a pretty awesome experience because 2 days later we had a nonmember come in who asked basically the exact same questions President Vest did so we were able to answer them really well and leave him with a Book of Mormon, so that was way cool! The Lord really does prepare us :)

On Monday night it was raining pretty hard and it started hailing pretty huge pieces of ice. We were at an investigators house at the time, and she is completely terrified of any kind of rain, wind, hail, any weather basically. So we were trying to help her stay calm and help her kid as well. Then the tornado sirens started going off and we all had to go in her basement and it was definitely a struggle to keep her from freaking out. Luckily the sirens stopped pretty quickly and we were able to go upstairs and say a prayer with her and read from the Bible and the Book of Mormon. It was amazing the difference that made. By the time we left, she was very calm and relaxed.
I took a few interesting tours this week. One lady came in
thinking we were the Harry Truman visitors center and boy was she surprised,
haha. Then we had 2 people came in who knew SOOOOO much church history, but
they weren’t members! It was so weird. They just said that they had a lot of
interest in church history. But every time we asked them about their faith and
whatnot, they ignored us. Sooo that was interesting. One guy came in who knew
where New River was! He said he lived in Queen Creek before it was officially
called Queen Creek. And then I had a lot of awesome member tours from people
visiting from out of state. And I took my first tour by myself this week!!! I
did the history and everything! It was such a good experience :)

A big salad a la Elaine in Seinfeld! |
I got to go to the Kansas City Zoo today! It was so big; we were only able to get through half of it. But it was a blast, I love doing fun things around the town on our p-day!
We have been very blessed with safety here and I am very thankful for that! I love you all!
