Hello everyone!
It has been a great week for sure! I am
also really excited for this upcoming week- we have a lot of lessons
planned in and great things are going on in the New Mark area!

So basically this past Saturday was the best day of my entire life. Here is the play by play.
So
we woke up way earlier than missionaries ever do and we went to the
stake center to go help set up for the Temple Run 5K. It was so much fun
and then at 9 am
the temple run started! Most of the mission was there, and a ton of
members were there- there was a great turn out!

Then Sister Holt and I
headed home and we got ready really quickly and the Petersons picked us
up so that we could go to Independence. FOR A BAPTISM FROM SOMEONE I
TAUGHT A YEAR AGO!!!! Seeing Rob baptized was one of the most special
experiences of my mission. Some of my favorite families from 3rd ward
were there and a lot of missionaries that had served in 3rd ward before
were there as well (Rob has had a lot of missionaries). I was able to be
with Sister Welch as we talked to everyone and it felt like old times!

Then we headed back to Liberty and we had a great shift at the jail! At
the very end of the shift, some fundamentalists came in! I hear that
they come to the jail quite often but I had never met any so it was
interesting to be able to meet them and take them on a tour.
Other highlights:
- I have the best companion ever and we just laugh all the time
- We got a new senior couple! They are so cute!
- The prophet came into the Jail today!! It is so sad because I wasn't at the jail, I was at the house. But how special!
- There was a tornado this week! It wasn't near us, but there were some pretty crazy storms
- We have had KFC twice this week #throwbacktoinde
- speaking of Inde, we are going there today!
I have been thinking a lot about ministering lately. On Sunday
a majority of the testimonies were about people who had been the
recipients of someone ministering to them, and how grateful they were!
It has made me think a lot about ministering and how many people have
ministered to me while I have been on the mission. From the ward members
who feed us, give us rides, bring us medicine when we are sick, to the
other missionaries who write uplifting notes and give blessings and do
random acts of kindness, to the people of Missouri who are so kind and
the many of them that have reached out and helped me, even when they
weren't members of the church. I am also so grateful to the many people
that have ministered to me from far away, the random emails, and letters
and packages I receive mean the world to me. I am so grateful for the
amount of people I come in contact with everyday that have made the
decision in their heart to be like the Savior. It makes me want to be
better and better and be that for others!
