Week 51: New Zealand + Arizona + Snow = Chaos

Sister Gudgeon and I before church on Sunday

This week was such a great one! Christmas on the mission was definitely one of the most amazing experiences ever. It has been such an honor to be serving my Savior Jesus Christ, during the season that we celebrate Him.
Christmas morning at the jail!

Here are some of the highlights:

  • We had our first district meeting of the transfer. It was so great! We have an amazing district this transfer

  • On Christmas Eve we had a concert at the Independence Visitors' Center. It was amazing! I loved being able to sing with my other sisters and I was able to do a duet on my flute with Sister Gudgeon.
I played Silent Night - a Cammack Family tradition on Christmas Eve

  • It snowed this week! multiple times! Haha it has been a really cool experience for Sister Gudgeon and I, as she is from New Zealand and I’m from AZ.
    Failed jumping picture!

  • We had a breakfast with all of the senior couples on Christmas morning. All of us sisters dressed up and did the nativity for them. It was so special!
I'm part of the stable - ha ha!

  • Our zone had a Christmas party after that, and that was great! It was so cool to be with all the other missionaries. Everyone was so happy and we had a great time

  • I got to skype my family! That was definitely so special, and I loved that.

  • It was my brother’s birthday! And Joseph Smiths! haha December 23rd was an awesome day.
Happy Birthday to Josh and Joseph Smith! We got a little carried away with the birthday hats - ha ha!
  • I got to go to Independence like 3 times. I love Independence so much!!
  • I got to see Sister Welch all 3 times I went!! She is such an amazing missionary, I loved seeing her!
    Sister Welch - my daughter!

  • I took some really cool tours this week! 2 families from my last ward came and that was really powerful because I already knew them and we were able to really focus on the Spirit felt there.

Someone asked me recently what part of my testimony has grown the most on my mission. That was a hard question because I feel like my entire testimony has grown so much. But I definitely feel like the part that has grown the most is that God is so aware of all His children. He not only knows me personally, but He knows everyone in my life that I care about personally as well. He is going to be there for them, just like He is there for me. That has brought me so much comfort and peace on my mission. And I know that you can feel that same thing and rely on Heavenly Father in that same way if you pray and ask Him and then have faith. As we have faith, miracles happen in our lives.

I love you all! Don't stop trying to be Christlike just because Christmas is over! We need it all the time!
