Week 34: WASAARDUH District!! #bestdistrictever

The Doll House Sisters

Hello!
This week was one for the books! I absolutely loved it!

-The biggest highlight would have to be zone conference! The way that President Love does it is so different from President Vest, but we have all been learning that different doesn't mean worse. It was so great! I love zone conferences and all of the knowledge I get to learn from other missionaries. Everytime I go they cover exactly what I need to hear, it is so amazing! This time it was a lot about not being complacent and constantly working to find the new. New people, new street approaches, new ways to do tours, new ways to work with the ward etc. We watched a really funny video that you have to watch! It is called "Who moved my cheese?" it is about 2 little mice and 2 little people who live in a maze. It is a funny video, but it is a great life lesson! We need to always be aware and always looking for new opportunities and never become complacent. Let me know what you think of it!
The Visitors' Center

- The Peterson's (our VC director and his wife) came over to the Doll House for brownies! That was a blast!

Visitors at the Doll House

- We got to do service for one of my favorite families in the ward yesterday! They are moving Thursday so we helped clean and pack things up. I am going to miss them!
- Someone came into the VC the other day needing to use our phone. He then preceded to call 911 because he said that his girlfriend was trying to kill him because the mafia would kill her if she didn't kill him.
- We went to a poly party this week! It was so cool! I love the Polynesian culture here in Independence! We had so much good food including Taro, New Zealand sausage, and raw fish in a cup with creme sauce. All SO good! And they had dancing from lots of different Polynesian cultures.
- This morning when we were grocery shopping, someone paid for all of our groceries because we were missionaries! #tendermercy
- 3 of our investigators (ones that I have been working with my entire mission) are almost ready for baptism! They have been waiting for legal things to be worked out, and they should be worked out by the end of September! Something that has really touched me on my mission is all of the connections that you make with people and the relationships you form. As missionaries, as we strive to be representatives of Christ, we are able to grow close to so many people.

Transfers calls are Tuesday, so I will let you all know next week if I’m out! I had a blessing yesterday and I love something it said. It said that I need to trust in the Lord enough to know that He has a plan not only for me, but for my family as well and that I need to let that plan happen. That blessing was such a testimony builder to me. I know that the Lord has a plan for all of you and that as you strive to follow His will by listening to the Holy Spirit, then you will be so blessed.

Best District Ever!

Something that I studied this week, that I absolutely loved, was the 12 step addiction recovery program the church has. They have a video for each step and I love them because they are things that we all need to remember in our life, forgiveness, humility, hope and many more. I love watching how the Savior's Atonement was able to really impact all of their lives, and I know that it can impact all of ours as well as we come to know our Savior, and apply it in our lives.
I love you all!
