Week 22: Chinese Buffets for Days

Hello everyone!
This week has been a great one! Nothing too crazy happened but I have been loving serving here in the visitors center and in Independence. The tour buses have started to come to the VC so it has been very busy and very exciting!  I have been excited because my favorite family moved out of my ward last transfer but she is moving back in tomorrow!! So we get to go over there and help them move back in and then we get to start teaching her kids again. The kids love learning about the gospel and they love going to church so I am so excited! 

Also, I have been teaching a girl named Kathryn for a little over a month now online. She came onto mormon.org and I was able to talk with her and send the missionaries to her and we have talked about every day and she got baptized this past weekend!! I have loved seeing her grow. 

So here in Independence Chinese buffets are the thing. Like there is one every 5 minutes along the road, everyone here loves them. And there are these weird long plastic containers that the chinese food comes in and everybody here has these containers in their houses!!! They use them as tupperware. They always put leftovers in them and give them to us, it’s so crazy. But today I finally got to try one of the buffets! It wasn’t too bad. 

The church has come out with a new First Vision video, and it is very powerful. They did an amazing job on it and I have loved using it because it brings the Spirit so quickly and so strong.
