Week 15: Adam-Ondi-Ahman

Near Adam-Ondi-Ahman

Hello everyone!
This has been such a great week, we were able to do so much this week! Here are a few highlights:

We had zone conference on Friday! I love love love zone conferences! I always learn so much because there are so many good trainings. How well our zone leaders teach and how sensitive they are to the spirit blows me away every time.

Saturday E and E got baptized! They were recently adopted by their Grandma who is in our ward and they weren’t really raised in the church so we had the privilege of teaching them more and helping them so that they could decide for themselves if they would like to join. And they both joined and a lot of their family was able to make it to the baptism and it was such a tender experience. They are the best!

Then on Monday all of the Visitors' Center sisters who hadn’t been yet got to go to Adam-Ondi-Ahman and Far west historic site! These are 2 places that are important not only in church history but in the churches future as well. It was so amazing! It was such a huge testimony builder and I loved being able to see the place where Joseph Smith and some of the other early saints lived and where the temple lot was dedicated.

One of the coolest parts was preachers rock. The Elder giving us the tour had about half of us sisters go down this hill, a good distance away from preachers rock. Then he just spoke in a normal voice- as if we were right next to him, and we could hear him!! It was insane! So that was amazing. The rest of it was very cool too of course. There was such a sweet and special spirit there, especially at Adam-Ondi-Ahman. I love this mission!

We also have had someone who works at the Salt Lake City offices here visiting for the past few days. He has been training all the Visitor Center sisters and it has been amazing! He has taught us so much; I don't know what to work on first! But I am so excited because I know everything he taught will improve the tours so much!

I hope that you are all able to make it a great week this week! It is a common saying in this mission for people to say, make it a great week, or make it a great day. And I think that it is awesome because we can’t control what happens to us, or what is said to us, but we can control how we react and how we move on from that situation.
I love you all!
