Week 59: God Loves You!

This week was a great one! It was definitely full of so many miracles! Here are a few:

  • I was able to get back in contact with an investigator from one of my old areas who had lost contact with the missionaries when our area was shut down. She is going to start meeting with them again!
  • We had the coolest lesson! We knocked on a door and the mom let us right in and had her son who was a freshmen in high school come listen to our message. She said she really liked our message because it can help him stay focused on God during high school. So true! Our message helps everyone, during all stages of life.
  • We had multiple people let us in from tracting this week, it was amazing!
  • The Historic Liberty Jail has been so busy! We had 149 the other day, usually during this time we have about 7-40 but never more than that. It was an amazing miracle!

  • A few days a week are starting to get warm. It is AMAZING!!
I got to see Sister McDonald!!

And here is honestly one of the biggest miracles of all:
We were on our way to pday sports at the stake center and we were in the car with another set of sisters. This massive farming truck lost control and skidded all over the road and almost flipped. But it didn’t.  It didn’t hit a single car either and it was able to straighten out and drive away. It should have hit so many cars. It has really reminded me of how aware God is of all of us. His angels were with all of us on that road and they kept that truck from hurting others. If God can do that, then surely he will be with us for the other trials of our life as well, we just need to reach out to him and learn to rely on him. As we put him as the priority in our lives, everything else will fall into place. https://www.lds.org/media-library/video/2017-11-0010-the-souls-sincere-desire?category=youth-media&lang=eng

Week 58: A Year of Tours

Hello everyone! It has been a great week!
Here are some highlights:

  • I took my very first tour a year ago, yesterday!!! And I have been taking tours the entire year! The cutest family came in and they made it a wonderful tour and I was so happy!
  • Miracle experience! It is semi confusing so stay with me...About a week ago we were tracting an apartment complex that is in the shape of a U. We were on the top left edge of the U and I asked Sister Farnsworth what she would do get to the other side of the U(without using the stairs) if there was someone who wanted to learn the gospel on the other side. We eventually decided we would tear up our coats and make a rope line. So we laughed and left the apartments, THEN! This week we get a Bible referral for the other side of the U apartment!!! She wasn't home but we found someone on the other side who let us right in and we have a return appointment! It was great!
  • We got to go to mission prep on Sunday! This stake had so many youth there! It was amazing!
  • We were also able to go bowling today! That was awesome

This week I just wanted to share my testimony. On my mission as I have been able to work with so many different people and learn so much about God's love for everyone. I can testify that God loves all of you and that He has a plan. As we strive to keep the commandments He can direct us in our life and help us reach our full potential. God is so great!
I love you all!

Week 57: Embark

Hello!
This whole week was wonderful, but today especially! We were able to go to the temple this morning with some other missionaries including the Petersons (our VC director) and it was such a special experience! And afterwards we went to the best breakfast restaurant ever!

Here are some other highlights of the week:

  • We had a lesson with the lady who came up to us at church last week wanting to be baptized. I loved hearing her story! She raised her kids in the gospel because her husband is a member and now she wants to join as well. It has been a long journey but I am so excited for her!

  • L. is my favorite person ever! she is progressing so well and I just feel so blessed to be working with her and all of the wonderful people in New Mark area!

  • We met the sweetest lady yesterday who really needs to gospel and she is excited to hear more.

So basically, it has been a great week of sharing the gospel and getting to help invite others to come closer unto Christ. Serving a mission is such a beautiful thing! Another joy that I have had this past week is realizing how many of my friends are on missions right now/preparing to serve missions. We will bring the world His truth. That also has a lot to do with what I wanted to share today. I shared this on facebook, but this video just means so much to me I feel like I need to share it again. The Lord is progressing His work- it is the most important work! I have even seen that on my mission, since I have been here we have been able to start using facebook and smart phones and we have a new temple attendance policy and we have all seen the work progress so much! This video captures that and it captures what we can do to further the Lord's work even when we aren't set apart full-time representatives of the Lord.
(it is the main video on this page)
Have a great week everyone!
Much love!
