Week 64: Far West and Blessed!

Hello!

I don't have a lot of time to write this week, but it was a great week!
Here are the quick highlights:
Exchanges and statues a member in our ward made!

  • The narrations at Liberty Jail are working again!!! And we have had a lot of spring breakers!! So it has been so fun.
  • We had a great lesson with one of our recent converts and we are going to the temple with her and her husband this week. Also, she made us cherry cheesecake!!
  • So many people came to church yesterday! And it was Sister Farnsworth last time going to church as a missionary. So it was a really special day.
Sister Farnsworth lost her tag so there were 2 Sister Cammacks! haha
  • We spent the day in Jamestown and Far West MO! It was so much fun!!
I have learned a lot about being grateful on my mission, but especially this past week. Seeing Sister Farnsworth prepare to leave her mission has been so tender because she was SUCH an amazing missionary! She truly gave her all here. And she has been a great example to me, as she is so grateful for all of the experiences she had and the opportunities she had to serve the Lord. Life is oftentimes hard, if it wasn't we would  learn or grow. But there is always an abundance of things to be thankful for, when we recognize that God has given us all we have. How great He is!
I love you all!!

Week 63: Return of the Bed Bugs...

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hello everyone!
It has been another great week in Kansas City! It is starting to rain a lot, which is so exciting because everything is going to start turning green! The spring time here is so beautiful! Here is my week:
  • Our poor old house has bed bugs again!! and the basement has started to flood. So we are camped out upstairs... haha but the work of the Lord is still moving forward!
    Camping out upstairs

How we feel about camping out upstairs... ha ha!
  • We had a lesson with the sweetest family! The mother is a member but her children are not. Her daughter really wants to be baptized and her best friend is a member. So she is helping us teach her, and it is so powerful!
  • We have had a lot of special experiences tracting this week. It is great to see the miracles that happen when we open our mouths and share the gospel with everyone!
  • We had zone conference!!! It was one of the best ones I have ever been to! It was so beautiful and the spirit was there. Everything that was said really rang true. And Sister Farnsworth gave her departing testimony! It was a special time
    Liberty/Independence West Zone Conference
  • We went to Kansas City Joe's today! It is an amazing BBQ place in KC!
KC Joes with the Bronsons! Love love love the senior couples!

  • We were meeting with a lady and she gave us a huge container of pistachios.... haha I love these people!
  • The Historic Liberty Jail has been SO BUSY! Okay, not summer busy. But Texas was on spring break this week and I'm pretty sure all of Texas came through the jail! haha it has been a blast! I love giving tours here :)
  • One of our investigators came to church on Sunday. It was amazing to see how much peace it brought her. The gospel is so true and I am so blessed to be able to be sharing that with people!
I have been thinking a lot this week about our divine nature as God's children. As a missionary I feel like I have been able to see and feel a little bit of how God sees and feels about His children. He loves us SO much!!!! It has been so special to be teaching someone or to be in their home and to see them that way. God is always here for us and He wants us all to return back to Him! And as we follow Him and remember our divine potential and worth, then we can. How great our God is!

I love you all and I love my mission!

Week 62: Zone Conference Week

Hello!
I am currently watching some missionaries play a game of chair soccer- it is hilarious to watch! Needless to say, its been a great week.
I absolutely love being a missionary, and here are some of the highlights of the week!

We had zone conference! It was AMAZING! Something I have learned a lot about on my mission is how much the Spirit can really teach us. Everything from zone conference helped me so much, but most of what I took from it wasn't what was said by the speakers, but what the Spirit said to me.

We took the most beautiful tour earlier this week. This family inspires me so much, the Savior truly healed them. So it is a mom, dad and 2 youngish kids. They walk in and say they are recent converts to the church of 2 years and they were driving through the area. Sister Farnsworth asked the mom to bear her testimony at the end and it was beautiful. She got back together with her husband after a 13 year break and then they found the church together. He had had a kid right before they got back together, and they don't have custody of her yet, so every month they drive for 30 hours to visit that daughter because of how important families are to them now. That tour was so special because the site meant something to the family and they were spiritually prepared. Being a visitor center missionary is amazing!!

Speaking of being a visitor center missionary, they released a special article on mormonnewsroom.org about something that we do at our centers a few hours every week. We teach online at mormon.org! We are the live representatives you can chat with. I have had some of my most special moments and miracles occur on teaching center. Here is a link to the article: https://www.mormonnewsroom.org/article/mormon-missionaries-online-teaching-expansion

My spiritual thought of the week is pretty simple, I would just like to share my testimony on trials and how they are for our good. This has been a huge lesson that I have been blessed to learn while serving at the Liberty Jail. I know that as we rely on God and our Savior, Jesus Christ, then we will find the peace that we often lack amidst crazy trials and we will also be led to our better selves. But we have to work on it and want to become better during trials, instead of bitter. God will help us do this and I am so grateful for that and for the infinite love he has for us.

I love you all!!

Week 61: Thankful

Hello!
This week was a pretty good one! Nothing super new going on, but I feel so thankful to be serving the Lord!!
We met some really cool people this week, and we will hopefully be going back to their houses this week.
L and L are doing great! I love them both so much!
Probably the best part of this week was a tour that we took. They walked in and said that they were on a weekend trip for church history. That is pretty common but something felt off. Then they said, we have Mormon friends but we aren't Mormon. WHAAAT!! And they are seeing church history sites I haven't even seen! It was AMAZING! One of the guys had gone to seminary with his friends in high school and he knew so much about the church and its history! It was an amazing tour, the Spirit was there so strong! I loved it.

We went to the cutest old Missouri country store today.

It has been a great week!
This week I was reading an amazing talk! It was called "Always Remember Me". This is one of my favorite quotes from it, " When trust is betrayed, dreams shattered, hearts broken and broken again, when we want justice and need mercy, when our fists clench and our tears flow, when we need to know what to hold onto and what to let go of, we can always remember Him. Life is not as cruel as it can sometimes seem. His infinite compassion can help us find our way, truth, and life." I love the Savior's Atonement, it can help us with so many things. We can always rely on Him during the hard times, and He will carry us through. I am so grateful for the Savior's Atonement, and that I get to share messages about it with others!
Have a great week everyone! Love you all!

Week 60: Literal Best Week Ever

Our New Zone

Hello everyone!
This week was a crazy one! We had transfers aaaaaand
I'm staying!!!
Haha this is my 5th transfer at the Historic Liberty Jail!
The old Jail sisters

Looks like I'm making a pattern in my mission. I am excited though, because the New Mark
area is amazing! There is a lot of work going on and the members are just amazing! They
are all such dedicated members and such good examples.

Twins!

This week was definitely a roller coaster of emotions and events but let me tell you about the
 best day ever!
Saturday: L AND L GOT BAPTIZED!!! It was seriously some of the most tender and special
moments of my life. Their husbands were both able to baptize them and it was so wonderful.
Both of these women have worked very hard to get to this point in their lives and they are still
working hard to be able to go to the temple in a year. I love them and their bold and loving
examples to me.

We met some wonderful people this week as well. The Lord is truly hastening His work and
preparing people to learn of His gospel.
This week I have been thinking a lot about the Book of Mormon. We started talking to a man
and we told him about the Book of Mormon and how it is a guide to life. He loved that and it
was really special to remember that not everyone knows this great truth we have!! The Book
of Mormon changes lives.

I love you all and miss you lots!!
