Week 3: Halfway done with the MTC!

Hello everyone!
Not much new has been happening here in the MTC but I’m still loving it! I always get to feel so close to Christ and the Spirit is so so strong here. Its great! I am halfway through the MTC, it’s crazy how fast it is going. My district leaves on Tuesday and Wednesday and then 2 other Sisters in my district will be staying with me for another week so that we can get Visitors Center training. I’m going to miss my district but I’m so excited to learn more about the Visitors Center and what to do in it.
I’ll share a few highlights of my week, my district got to host the new missionaries on Wednesday. So basically when a family pulls into the MTC, we run up to the car, grab the missionaries suitcases out of the trunk, let them say goodbye real quick and then take the new missionary to drop off their luggage and then we take them to class and they start class! It is definitely crazy for them but it was so fun getting to meet lots of awesome Sisters. It also has been snowing like crazy!!! Which is so fun but I am definitely not used to the cold, and icy ground. We also had in-field training yesterday! Basically we were in a room with all the other missionaries that are leaving soon and they taught us some more tips on how to share the gospel and we practiced sharing it all day. It was pretty awesome! Lastly, the First Presidency gave mission presidents the option to let missionaries retire to their residence at 9 instead of 9:30 and we can go to sleep at 9:30 instead of 10:30. The MTC adopted these changes and even though they seem small, it’s going to be so nice to get some more sleep!
I hope you are all having a great week!
Much love,
Sister Cammack

Week 2: Snow at the MTC

Sister Cammack and Sister Clarke - Provo, UT Temple

Hi all!
Life has been so good here at the MTC! It is definitely crazy busy but I love it! One of my branch leaders said, Its the happiest place on earth but also the most exhausting. And that is definitely true!

My companion and I started teaching investigators this week and we have 5 of them so far. We were really nervous at first but then we got used to it and we had some amazing experiences! On our second lesson with one of our investigators we started teaching and then we felt like we needed to go a different direction then we had planned to. And I'm so thankful that we were able to listen to the Spirit and go a different direction because she definitely needed to hear what we ended up saying. And we were prompted to show a video and after we did the Spirit was in the room so strong! My companion and I testified and my companion started crying and our investigator started crying and it was such a great experience.

We got a new district and it was so awesome to meet them all and help them get situated at the MTC. They are all such amazing people!

It has been snowing here and that has been lots of fun! Especially since I haven't seen snow a lot in my life. Its so fun watching all the missionaries who have never seen snow, get so excited and go play in it. I'ts so funny!

My favorite scripture from this week is Jeremiah 28:12-13. I know that our Heavenly Father is there for all of you and he wants to come to know you but we all need to do our part.
I love you all!

Week 1: MTC

Today is my first p-day (preparation day)! I have been loving the MTC (missionary training center) so far! I have only been here since Wednesday afternoon but it seriously feels like I have been here forever because we do so much awesome stuff! There is a saying here in the mtc that goes something like, a day feels like a week, a week feels like a day, a month feels like hours and then you're home from your mission. And I totally believe it, time is so different here!
My schedule here is pretty crazy, but it is so effective! We wake up at 6:30 and are in our classroom by 7. There are is only 1 district in each classroom and my district has 6 sisters and 4 elders. Then we study for an hour and go to breakfast. Then we have more personal and companion study for about 2 hours and then we have some meetings and go to lunch. After lunch we have a 3 hour lesson from one of our 2 teachers and those are pretty cool because we get to practice teaching. And then we have more study time or more meetings. Then we have dinner and after dinner we have class/meetings/devotionals until 9:30. Then we go home and lights out are by 10:30
I love my district so much! These Sisters and Elders are seriously all so amazing and all so smart. My companion, Sister Clarke is especially awesome, she is so sweet and she knows so much about the gospel, I am so blessed to be with her!
I am having a great time out here, and I love this Gospel with all my heart!
Much love,
